Please join the Mothers Out Front Campaign Team for a virtual presentation and action on Data Centers and what we can do to fight them. Thursday, October 15th from 7pm-8pm.
Data centers are expanding rapidly and have very little regulation. They are often constructed without public knowledge, and they use vast amounts of water and fossil fuels.
The pushback against data centers is growing across the United States!
More than 70% of Americans do not want a data center near them!
Mothers Out Front in Massachusetts and in 3 other states are joining this pushback. A world with large unregulated data centers is not what we want for our children, or for anyone.
Whether one is focused on a healthy climate for children and environmental justice for everyone – or high electric bills – or rogue AI cyberattacks – or threats to farmlands and wildlife – or protecting our democracy – this is a fight we think mothers and caregivers should join.
For 10 years, residents in Lowell, MA living near a massive, unregulated data center have been experiencing high levels of air and noise pollution. There are plans underway to expand the data center! We want to be good allies in the community’s fight for their health and well-being.
