The mid-point of the Shmita cycle causes us to reflect that no one person or group can solve any of the enormous climate problems facing us alone: it will take collaboration to meet our goals. This is not the time for divisiveness, this is the time to come together.

The Fourth Jewish Climate Action Conference focused on how we can work together. Our goal was to inspire over 150 participants by the ongoing successful collaborative efforts underway and offer strategies for living a resilient and hopeful life in these troubled times. The 31 sessions covered topics in resilience, sustainability, building coalition, decarbonizing, and environmental justice. Messages from Senator Elizabeth Warren, ThirdAct founder Bill McKibben, and Rabbi Arthur Waskow were powerful and energizing. The keynote speech from David Abel about his film Inundation District highlighted the immediate dangers of the climate crisis right here in Boston. Over 40 sponsors participated and shared their insights, products, and ideas.
